I moved to Wainfleet to get away from the crowded city, and I run a business that lives on reading numbers other people skip. Wainfleet collects almost the same tax levy as West Lincoln from less than half the people. I want to find out why, line by line, and fix it.

I came here for the space, the lake and the quiet, and I have no interest in turning Wainfleet into a suburb. I have spent 25 years running Geek Certified, a digital marketing and applied-AI company, and I teach at McMaster University's DeGroote School of Business. My job, in both places, is to take a pile of numbers and make them say something true.
Over the past few weeks I have talked with about a hundred residents on porches and at fence lines. The same three things came up every time: taxes, the building department, and people doing 100 on a 50 road. This site is my answer to all three.
