Who is running in Wainfleet in 2026
You should read every candidate's platform, not just mine. Nominations closed August 21 and the Clerk certified the list on August 24, 2026. This page mirrors the Township's official list (Form EL07W) and links to each candidate's site where one exists.
My opinion: Wainfleet needs a fresh start
Wainfleet has been run poorly the past four years, and every citizen I have spoken with is unhappy with the leadership. In my opinion, Wainfleet's leadership needs to be rebuilt: a fresh start with a new council and mayor. I strongly recommend not voting for the incumbents: Brian Grant, Terry Gilmore, John MacLellan and Sherri Van Vliet. Take a close look at the other candidates and choose a new mayor and council so we can fix the mess they've put us in. I hope to be a part of the rebuild.
